On El Nido’s sunrise side, between San Fernando and Sibaltan, kite-surfing dominates the wind sports.
Qi Palawan Kiteboarding introduced the sport to the El Nido area back in 2012 and has been operating a full IKO kite center since 2013. Qi Palawan Kiteboarding is located within Qi Palawan Resort, a small eco-resort one hour from El Nido town center this The resort is located in north-eastern mainland Palawan, in barangay San Fernando. The winds here blow from the east with this particular beach facing NNE, making it a side-onshore wind (ideal for kiting).
Note: Because the kiteschool is located within a resort, there is a 700 peso minimum expenditure for all walk in guests. Its consumable, not an entrance fee.
